Project seminars at the border
At the transport seminar, stakeholder representatives who participated in the vision workshops were able to comment on the vision from their perspective. We also discussed the role of a joint, borderless transport forum to be established after the project. In connection with the seminar, we received an interesting presentation from Ikea, from a logistics perspective.
At the end of the seminar we visited the magnificent Haparanda railway station.
The tourism seminar was opened by Ari Heikkinen from Bothnian Arc, who said in his opening words "With
seamless cooperation we have possibilities double our opportunities, measures
and goals, as well as results and success, because ‘Together we are more’." Key notes of the seminar were given by Andy Fairburn and Paul Wagner from Nordic Tourism Collective on the theme "The Importance of Collaboration". We heard also a presentation about the campaign Save the Bothnian Bay. At the end of the seminar, the participants had the opportunity to network.
Thank you all for taking part in our seminars!
